Offered set of equipment allows implementing complete processing of grained stillage in accordance with Federal law №18-RF dated 01.07.1999, in accordance to which «…operation of new, after complete repair or modernized equipment for ethyl alcohol production is permitted only in case of introduction of equipment enabling complete processing or utilization of grained stillage …».

Modern process technology provides high quality of distiller’s dry grain with solubles (DDGS) with low power consumption. We could also offer turnkey project for DDGS production.

Quality of finished product (DDGS):
Humidity - 8-10%
Protein content – more than 28% d.c.
Carbohydrates content – more than 25% d.c
Ash content – less than 10% d.c
Cellulose content – less than 10% d.c.

Specified product quality is achieved at the following feedstock (grained stillage) characteristics:
Solid substances content – 7-8%
pH – 4,2
Humidity - 93%
Protein content – 30% d.c.
Fats content – 1,2%
Cellulose content – 10%
Ash content – 3,42%
Calcium content – 1,26% d.c.
Lead content – 0,19 mg/l
Copper content – 2,3 mg/l
Zinc content – 0,14 mg/l

Stillage from cube tank of fermentation column is fed into a buffer tank and after that into decanters, where solid and liquid phases separation takes place under centrifugal force. Liquid phase (centrate), which contains dissolved protein, is fed on vacuum evaporator, where it sequentially passes through evaporators and steam separators. Multistage evaporation process allows achieving solid concentration up to 30%, whereas steam heat from evaporator of previous stage is used at every evaporation stage, that allows steaming centrate at min. energy (steam) consumption. Evaporated stillage is mixed with solid phase (cake) after decanter and is fed into dryer, where moisture content is brought up 8-10%. Produced DDGS in the form of powder can be granulated and packaged.

Stillage dehydration section is equipped with stainless capacitive and heat-exchange equipment (AISI 304, AISI 316 steels), manufactured by JSC «Tambovsky plant «Komsomolets» named in honour of N.S. Artyomov» and with process equipment (decanters, dehydrator) of the leading European manufacturers.
