Feedstock is weighed and cleaned from various impurities. After that it is fed to the milling section. Milling of feedstock is carried out with roll or hammer mill crushers providing uniformity of milling with set size of particles. It directly affects efficiency of the further processing of the obtained flour.

There are 2 basic methods of bioethanol production: so called “dry” and “wet” methods, which substantially differ from each other by additional extraction of gluten, A and B starches using “wet” method. In “wet” method B starch is used for bioethanol production.

While using “dry” method of bioethanol production, wheat is mixed with water. After that the mash is fed to the saccharification unit, where starch containing in suspension turns into sugar for further fermentation under the action of heat and special ferments.

The next stage of bioethanol production is fermentation of saccharized wort, which carries out in fermentation tanks with addition of yeast. It allows converting sugar into alcohol. At this stage so called brew with alcohol content of 8% is obtained. To achieve required concentration and purity of alcohol this brew is purified during the distillation stage. The brew is purified using 2 columns. Finally alcohol with 96% concentration is obtained. Further alcohol dehydration till getting of bioethanol with 99.8% concentration takes place using columns with molecular sieves.

After dehydration stage finished product is fed to alcohol storage unit, from which it is shipped by trucks or railway.

During distillation process basic waste of bioethanol production – grain stillage – is formed, which is processed to obtain DDGS (Dried Distillers Grains with Solubles), feed yeast or biogas.

DDGS can be used as high-quality protein supplement to feed for animals.

Feed yeast is high-priced protein to be added to combined feed, premix and feed mix production for all kinds of agricultural animals, birds, fish, and fur animals.

Biogas is used as fuel for power, heat or steam production or as automobile fuel.

At all stages of bioethanol production heat getting during operation of the plant is used to the maximum to reduce operation costs of bioethanol production.
