On March 23rd, General Director of ANO Institute of Regional Development Olga Mikheeva arrived in Tambow heading the delegation with a highly topical programme. The guests met with the administration members of the Tambov Region and Tambov State Technical University, visited scientific laboratories and TSTU Shared Research Facility, partner enterprises of the university, in particular, JSC ZAVKOM.
The REC «Engineering the Future» is a scientific and educational center designed to unite science and the real sector of economy.
As part of the business program, at the site of JSC ZAVKOM the parties discussed how to consolidate the efforts and resources of all REC participants to conduct joint research in the field of nanotechnology. The guests visited the Nanotechcenter, where carbon nanomaterials of the «Taunit» series are produced on an industrial scale. The company also manufactures equipment for the production of carbon nanomaterials. The scope of their application is very broad: hydrogen accumulators, filter materials, lithium battery electrodes, LEDs, etc. This development is very useful for the key areas of activity of «Engineering the Future» - new generation engine and fuel systems, new materials. The meeting participants paid special attention to the prospects for further cooperation.
